Maritime surveillance : An award for RECONSURVE !

Winning of the most innovative and commercially viable project !

The ITEA2 RECONSURVE project (Reasearch & development project), to which EVITECH participates and cooperates with important French (Cassidian, Thales, Ecole NavaleGreyc, ...), Turkish (Aselsan), and Korean organisms (GMTC) was selected last week for  winning the Most Innovative and Commercially Viable Project award from the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (the KIAT).

In this project, a maritime surveillance system is defined and demonstrated. The system is autonomous and includes managed UAVs. It is deployed on the coast. It uses radar primary detections. It then triggers UAVs, and drive them to fly over suspicious boats areas, search them, and collect automatically information about these boats (type, trajectory, content, ...).

The following picture from the EADS ORKA system illustrates this situation, even though this project is not related to Reconsurve
