EVITECH has received a purchase order this month of a LYNX server for a new city downtown, in order to build up a statistics platform. Actual affluence figurs will demonstrate downtown life attractivity.
Located in the neighborhood of South Paris, this small city, created around 1200 AC, was recently reworked, under the Mayor's impulse, to restore a new life to its center. The pedestrian area downtown was redecorated and redevelopped, whilst two parking lots were added to facilitate access to visitors from neighbour cities as well as peripheral areas. In order to measure the attractivity of this new space, and particularly during the cultural or commercial events that the city organizes, a set of counting spots have been installed, and a LYNX data serveur was settled to capitalize frequentation data all along the day, the week, the years.
The tool, based on top of color cameras and EVITECH LYNX software, allows to get a frequentation dashboard with historical curves, as well as to constitute a digital database of frequentations, along time and also by counter position. This tool makes it possible to the City to measure the impact of its economical development actions, to measure the effects of some works or street way changes, and to adjust days and periods of future events, taking decisions from scientific information issued of real visits of citizens.
